Hiking in Castlewood Canyon

We went down to Castlewood Canyon State Park last week to do some hiking. We went to the west side of the park this time. We wanted to try a different hike that we haven’t be on before. We hiked along the Creek Bottom Trail which gave us great views of the canyon and a waterfall. Our hike ended when we came to the Castlewood Canyon Dam ruins. The dam was built in 1890 and burst in 1933. We hiked the small trail that led to the top of the dam and enjoyed our lunch in the sun.

Don’t forget to check out my flickr page to see the photos of our hike.
